Dear ABELDent Cloud Customer,

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our ODA ASM 2026 Show Specials! One of our Customer Happiness Coordinators (CHCs) will call you to determine how we can help you to maximize the benefits you are receiving from ABELDent Cloud. Some of the important topics that a CHC will discuss with you are:

Confirm your Cloud environment is operating optimally
Answer questions related to recent communications, such as ITRANS 2.0
Review performance, backups, or security best practices specific to your practice
Inform about the features and functionalities, including the latest AI enhancements in PCS that include ABELDent Scribe, AI Radiograph Analysis, ABELDent Guidance, PCS Messaging Template creation and many more that are coming soon, e.g. AI Receptionist, Voice AI for Perio.
Cybersecurity training to protect your practice from social engineering-related cyber attacks.

I Want to Speak to a CHC

Because your practice is hosted in ABELDent Cloud on Microsoft Azure, your clinical and patient data is already protected against the latest AI‑enabled cyber threats – risks that cannot be mitigated by traditional local servers and backups alone. Cloud hosting eliminates exposure related to aging hardware, local SQL licensing, and unmanaged third‑party access, while delivering enterprise‑grade security and compliance.

However, technology alone is not enough. A growing number of breaches now occur through social engineering – including phishing emails, fraudulent calls, and impersonation attempts that trick well‑meaning staff into granting access or disclosing credentials. Ongoing staff awareness and training are one of the most effective defences against these threats, and we strongly encourage practices to make this part of their security posture.

Addressing Performance Feedback

We recognize that some Cloud customers have told us that performance can feel slower than a local server, particularly after migration. We want you to know this feedback is being actively addressed:

Network stability & internet performance: We have engaged iTel Networks at our cost to help ensure your practice is protected from internet speed variability, latency issues, and intermittent connectivity glitches.
Local network & equipment review: Our team is prepared to review your office network, workstations, and related equipment to confirm there are no on‑site bottlenecks affecting Cloud performance.
Ongoing Cloud optimization: In parallel, we are continuing to enhance ABELDent Cloud services and software performance to further improve responsiveness and overall user experience.

Our objective is simple: Cloud performance should meet, and over time exceed, expectations when paired with a properly configured local environment.

Important Reminder About Imaging Backups

Many practices using ABELDent Cloud continue to rely on local third‑party imaging systems. While ABELDent Cloud automatically and securely backs up all practice management data, any data stored locally, such as imaging, is not included in these cloud backups.

To protect your imaging data, you must either:

Use ABELDent’s Remote Backup & Recovery (RBR) service, or
Make and maintain your own local backup solution, including regular verification.

Without one of these measures in place, locally stored imaging data may be at risk.
